Campground has view of small lake. Short-term sites are tight, and tightly packed when busy. Sewer connection to site next to us was right outside door. Fortunately no one occupied this site while we were here. BE AWARE: There are MANY strict and strictly enforced rules. Although I appreciated and understood need for some of rules, there some were that were extreme. Not dog or guest friendly. Dogs NOT allowed to bark. Guests MUST register and pay - $6 per person, then MUST leave by 7:30 pm. Holiday weekend was very crowded, although not to capacity. Week days mostly empty. (I suspect due to the strict rules, not a desirable place for most to stay.) If owner wants to keep short-term occupancy level low, he is succeeding. Will not return.
Loved it here! Extended stay for another week this time and am coming back next year for a month. Lovely view and very friendly hosts. Pet and child friendly. Do have a few adult only facilities. Only criticism is not with campground but with one group of Memorial Day visitors this year. Large group camping together with many children spoiled the weekend. Kids ran wild and were up after midnight. Adults were drunk, loud-mouthed and noisy and which they also kept up after midnight. Host had to caution many times to be quite after 10 pm. Once this group left, was much nicer. Do note: Sites along Hwy. are very noisy. Riverside spots reserved a year in advance and are gone within a few minutes after becoming available to reserve. On-site bar is cozy and friendly. Closes at 10 pm so no problem with noise. RV sites are close together. Some areas do not have many trees or shade.
